The main goal of the project “Social cognition in action” is to form specific knowledge and skills into 30 young psychology students ,from 15 European countries, in order to help young people to combat the problem of social exclusion. The main activity of the project will be conducting an European Summer School, based on the social cognition. Lecturers will be leading professors and experts from Europe in the field of the social cognition.. They shell share their experience and knowledge of combating poverty and social exclusion and helping people with fewer opportunities, with the participants of our project. Through the competence of the experts will be prepared and well-educated 30 young psychologists, how to use the social cognition as a tool for support for the social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, supporting the development of young poor people and overcoming the social isolation among youth in 15 countries.
Main task of the summer school, beside forming important competences and skills for social work into the participants, is to build a unite relationships between the 15 youth European organizations and a strategy of implementation of the new knowledge into the practical field and the work with young people, overcoming the problems of social isolation and exclusion.
This summer school will set the beginning of many following activities and future projects in this area. The European Summer school of Social Cognition will be held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria between 17th and 25th July 2010. The activities will continue in each of the 15 countries participating in the project. The whole duration of the project and the following activities will be seven months.
